Installation Notes
  • Wafer installation: Center the valve between flanges. Use appropriate flange bolts and nuts. Tighten evenly in a cross pattern.
  • Lug installation: Bolt directly to one flange for dead-end service. Use full-face gaskets on both sides.
  • Flange standards: Compatible with DIN PN10/PN16 or ANSI Class 150 flanges. Verify bolt hole alignment.
  • Disc positioning: The disc should be in the closed position during installation to avoid damage to the liner.
  • Line velocity: For abrasive media, limit velocity to 2 m/s to extend liner life. For clean media, up to 5 m/s is acceptable.
  • Actuator mounting: For automated operation, use ISO 5211 mounting pad. Verify torque requirements.
Critical Operating Limits
  • Do not exceed 60°C for UPVC bodies. CPVC max 93°C continuous.
  • Not rated for steam service or rapid thermal cycling.
  • Avoid operating the valve in the 5–85% open range for extended periods in abrasive media.
  • Do not use EPDM liner with hydrocarbon solvents, oils, or strong oxidizers.
  • PTFE liner has limited abrasion resistance — not recommended for slurries with high solids content.
  • Protect from direct UV exposure. Use UV-stabilized material or apply protective coating.
  • Do not exceed the maximum pressure differential across the disc at any temperature.
Common Issues & Solutions
● Valve difficult to operate
Liner may be swollen or disc binding. Check liner compatibility with media. Lubricate stem with silicone-based grease. If resistance persists, replace liner.
● Leakage at flange connection
Verify flange bolts are torqued to specification (typically 20–30 Nm for DN50–DN150). Ensure gasket surfaces are clean and undamaged. Replace liner if flange face is compromised.
● Leakage past disc in closed position
Inspect liner for wear or deformation at the disc seating area. Replace liner if worn. For PTFE liners, check for cold flow at elevated temperatures.
● Handle position not locking
Check the locking plate for wear. Tighten the handle screw. Replace locking mechanism if worn.
